Ninja Assassin

About a week ago, I went and watched Ninja Assassin. It was not too terrible and bearible to watch, but I was still disappointed nonetheless. It was alot of action, pretty much mostly action and little dialogue. Body parts flew everywhere for the most part, blood was definitely a galore and not too mention, Ninja Stars. Rain, the main character is a Korean celebrity and he was pretty much the reason I went, to just support his efforts here in the states. I thought that he put in a lot of efforts for this role he took on. He had a hot body, that much I can say. The dialogue was pretty much cheesy and made me laugh from time to time, but other than that, it was action-spectacular. If you like gore, action and blood everywhere in the movie, then you should definitely catch this flick. It is not a bad movie to spend about 2 hours on if you are bored.
While I am talking about movies, the one movie I do want to see really badly is the new one with George Clooney, I am not sure if it is out yet and definitely definitely DEFINITELY Brothers, the movie featuring Jake Gyllenhaal.

The Passion

I read The Passion in my literature class. Overall, it was hard to understand because even though at a glance the book is just amusing and seems like an easy read. The book had things about magical realism as it integrated unreal things and brought them to life as if they were real. This was similar to how religion made everyone think. Jesus walked on water, and although this is a hard concept to grasp, because people believe, they accept this as a fact and as a miracle of Christianity. Just as so, The Passion had parts of the novel that integrated such impossibilities into reality. It made me think that if one were to believe something so much, as impossible as that idea may be, it can be the truth. 1+1=3 right?
So then, everything that we perceive to be true could possibly be all lies.

VIA?

Starbucks keeps putting forth new blends of coffee and the newest one yet? Aside from the holiday blend, which comes out every year around this time, is the VIA. Instant coffee mix that tastes just like the starbucks coffee brewed in Starbucks. Is that just amazing or what?! And not only that, but VIA now has three official kinds, medium, bold and decaf. One kind to suit any coffee lover out there. Now, everyone can enjoy a Starbucks coffee at the luxury of their home with just one packet of VIA. But, why is it so expensive? Does it really taste exactly like Starbucks coffee? I would try it, but I cannot dare spend so much money on some instant coffee mix that is not guaranteed to satisfy my coffee hunger. Anyone willing to try for me?
Lately, I have been enjoying coffee alot and cigarettes. I think when someone goes through a hard time, they tend to enjoy something that tastes bitter or sweet, one or the other opposite. Coffee leaves a bitter taste in the mouth, but it is delicious and I keep wanting more and more. That is so much money out since I don't know how to operate a coffee machine and am reduced to having to purchase coffee from cafes all the time. Not only that, but omfg cigarettes are overpriced!
Do i run low on money but satisfy my needs when in stress?
or do i save money and just keep adding stress to myself.
Lose lose situation. FML.

Swine flu

LOL on the picture.
So the swine flu epidemic is actually alot bigger than everyone had expected and it is getting the best of the global population, or at least those I can see. Even here at UT, everyone is scared shitless for the swine flu. This is so apparent because those hand sanitizers are applied on every wall in every building. People stare you with glaring, evil eyes when you cough in class, and you have to wear masks when you want to see the nurse at the SSB. I actually really wanted the epidemic to be huge so that the school would close down. Never happened, so sad.
In Korea, where I am from, the swine flu epidemic is really big. Every day on the news, people are dying or are diagnosed with the swine flu. My friend tells me that everyone wears masks everywhere they go because of the fear of the H1N1. I wonder if the swine flu is actually a big deal in the states but the government is hiding the truth and the true statistic about it from the citizens. If that is the case, that is extremely upsetting because people are actually dropping and dying from it.
A Korean celebrity's son passed away two days ago from the swine flu and it was splashed across the news as one of the top stories. He died two days after being diagnosed with the swine flu. It is sad, but the true situation right now.
People be careful!!! and always wash your hands. :)
